I'm not greedy when it comes to Christmas. In fact, my Christmas list has only one item on it.
It's a five foot long model of a prehistoric amphibian. He's called John. The Yorkshire Museum are selling him on
ebay. If you don't live near enough to collect John, don't worry, because I do. I've measured the upstairs landing and there's room for him there.
I promise that I won't play with him until Christmas Day, and will write you a nice thank-you letter on Boxing Day. Thanks in advance for your generosity, and for enabling me to give John a home.
What John might look like on the upstairs landing.

Most bizarre than the reason you want this, is why it is called John?
For the same reason that you're called Jon, because it's his name. The people at the Yorkshire Museum named him. He looks more like a Bert to me.
John is used to lots of people milling around and pointing at him - you will have to keep running up and down the stairs when he first moves in and pointing at him to make him feel at home, otherwise there may well be some crocodile tears
I plan on doing little else, Ceci. We also have a historical cat to keep him company. If he does cry I shall instruct him to snap out of it.

Did you bid? Did you win? I was up all night wondering.
