I just uploaded this to one of my favourite sites, the excellent Failblog, a site that never fails (that was unintentional) to make me laugh. They don't use many of the pictures that they recieve. I hope that the wordplay isn't too subtle for them.

Do you reckon the nail was put in your path by a malicious bovine?
Did that go through the inner tube too?
Simon, fortunately it's not my tyre, it's just a picture that I found online. I wouldn't rule out cows using a primitive version of a Stinger to trap unsuspecting cyclist though.
Jonathan, I don't know. Perhaps I'll experiment on my own tyres if I get a moment.
